Asher Monroe Book is an American dancer, lead singer in the boy band VFactory and actor in the MGM film 'Fame'. At age seven, he was chosen from an open casting call to portray tiny teacup Chip in a theatrical production of 'Beauty and the Beast', followed by the lead role in a production of 'Oliver'. In 2004, he appeared in the television movie 'Pop Rocks' and the film 'Come away home'. This was followed by guest roles on 'Zoey 101', 'Medium' and 'Close to home'. In 2009, Asher Book portrayed Marco, an aspiring singer, in 'Fame', a remake of the 1980 musical film of the same name (excerpt below). In 2010, he's had a recurring role as Steve in the NBC television series 'Parenthood'.
